The 8L90 8-speed in 2015+ Silverados had widespread torque converter shudder problems. GM issued multiple bulletins (PIP5524, 18-NA-355) and switched to a new fluid (Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP). A flush-and-fill with the new fluid resolves many cases. If shudder remains after the fluid flush, the torque converter and/or 1-2-3-4 clutch may be damaged.
