AmpAuto provides:

• Free reference content: static pages explaining OBD2 trouble codes, common causes, and repair guidance
• Free AI-powered diagnosis (first cause): based on your DTC code and vehicle, you get the most likely cause at no charge
• Paid full diagnostic report ($5.99): all 3 ranked causes, step-by-step repair guide, parts list, labor estimate, and printable mechanic-ready summary
• Free VIN decoder & recall lookup: powered by NHTSA's public data

3. Diagnostic Disclaimer (Important)

• AmpAuto is not a substitute for a licensed automotive technician or a hands-on inspection of your vehicle.
• Repair recommendations are based on statistical likelihood for your year/make/model - not on the actual physical condition of your specific vehicle.
• Always confirm with a qualified mechanic before purchasing parts or attempting repairs based on our output.
• You assume full responsibility for any decisions you make based on the information provided.
• AmpAuto does not warrant that the diagnosis is accurate, complete, or applicable to your specific vehicle.

4. Payment, Refunds, and Money-Back Guarantee

Pricing: the full diagnostic report is $5.99 USD per use, processed at checkout via Stripe.

Money-back guarantee: if the diagnosis didn't help you, reply to your receipt email and we'll refund you in full. No questions, no forms, no hassle. Refunds typically appear in 3–5 business days.

Chargebacks: please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We'll resolve it directly and faster.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the site for commercial use
• Attempt to overload, attack, or interfere with the service (DoS, scraping at scale, brute force)
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
• Resell, redistribute, or republish AmpAuto's diagnostic outputs without permission
• Use the service if you are under 13 years old

6. Intellectual Property

All content on AmpAuto - including the AI-generated diagnoses you receive, the website design, the DTC reference pages, and the AmpAuto name and branding - is the property of AmpAuto or its licensors. You may use the diagnostic output you purchase for your own personal vehicle repair purposes (including sharing it with your mechanic). You may not republish, resell, or redistribute it commercially.

7. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Sites

AmpAuto contains affiliate links to Amazon and may add other affiliate programs over time. When you click these links, you may be redirected to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those third parties. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AmpAuto and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Any reliance on diagnostic information provided
• Any vehicle damage, injury, or loss arising from repair attempts
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in our content
• Service interruptions or downtime

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid AmpAuto in the 12 months prior to the claim - typically $5.99 or zero.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AmpAuto harmless from any claims, damages, or losses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Privacy

Your use of AmpAuto is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we handle it.

11. Modifications

We may modify these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may stop using the service at any time.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of the operator's home jurisdiction.
