The Sierra 2500HD shares its powertrain and chassis with the Silverado 2500HD. The premium Denali and AT4 trims add features but do not change tow ratings. Top tow requires the 6.6L L5P Duramax, the Max Trailering package, and the right axle ratio (3.42 or higher).
Max-tow numbers assume the lightest available cab/bed, the optimal axle ratio, the heaviest-duty tow/trailering package, and a 150 lb driver with minimal cargo.
