The 2.0L VC-Turbo (SR trim, 2019-2025) uses the same 0W-20 but takes 4.6 qt and has a different drain plug location. Always replace the crush washer.

📝 Step-by-Step: Nissan Altima Oil Change

1. Confirm your engine variantOpen the hood and check the engine cover or VIN sticker. Capacities differ between trims (5.4 qt (2.5L PR25DD, 2019+) / 4.6 qt (2.0L VC-Turbo VR20DDTT)). Buy the right amount of oil and the matching filter.
2. Warm the engine 5-10 minutesWarm oil drains faster and more completely. Do not run to full operating temperature - the drain plug will burn you.
3. Lift and secure the Nissan AltimaUse ramps or jack the front and place jack stands on the frame rails. Never work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
